Celebrating 15 Years Fresh Off the Move

We’re Back in the Kitchen

The broth is on. The counter is open. Our hands finally remember what they are doing. We are cooking again.

The Stove Is On Again

Quiet for a Few Days. Not Anymore.

The kitchen went quiet for a few days while we moved. No banh mi rolling off the counter. No steam over the pho pots. Just boxes, bubble wrap, and one very confused delivery driver looking for an address that used to be in Enmore.

Turning the stove on for the first time in the new kitchen felt strange. Fifteen years in one spot, and suddenly none of us knew where the light switches were. Someone burned their hand looking for the kettle. Someone else cried a little, and pretended it was the onions.

Then the first pot of broth started to simmer, and it smelled exactly like it always has. That was the moment it stopped feeling strange and started feeling like home again.

Same Crew, New Counter

Same Team. Same Food.

Same team. Same food we have always cooked. Same order you always get, if you are the type who orders the same thing every time. No judgment, we respect the commitment.

What is new is the kitchen around us. More bench space. More room to move. The first week, half the team kept reaching for things that were not where they used to be. One of us walked into the cool room three times looking for the coriander before remembering it now lives on the other side of the kitchen.

Turns out fifteen years of muscle memory does not update itself overnight. We are working on it, one confused walk to the wrong shelf at a time.

It Feels Different Already

More Room, Better Rhythm

More room in the kitchen means less bumping elbows during the lunch rush, which means your order comes out the way it is supposed to, every time.

Our favourite part of the day is still watching people walk in. Some of you go quiet for a second, like you are checking it is really us. Then you spot the menu board, and something in your shoulders relaxes. Same food. Just a bigger room to eat it in.

Honestly, seeing a familiar face from Enmore find us again in Pyrmont still gets us a little. Do not tell anyone we said that.

Help Us Build the Menu

What Do You Miss?

We finally have room in this kitchen to try new things, and we would rather build the next menu with you than guess on our own. What is the dish you grew up with? The one you miss from a trip to Vietnam, or the one your family always asks for that you can never quite find here in Sydney?

Tell us in the comments or send us a message. We read every single one, we argue about our favourites in the kitchen, and a few might just end up on the menu with your name on the story behind it.

No promises on your grandmother’s secret recipe. She probably would not give it to us either.
